Strong to Severe Thunderstorms from the Southern Plains to the Ohio Valley; Heavy Rain and Flooding in the Southern Plains

Severe thunderstorms are expected from central Texas to middle Tennessee and Kentucky this afternoon into tonight. Large hail and damaging winds are the main threats. Heavy to excessive rainfall may produce areas of flooding today and tonight from central Texas into the lower Mississippi Valley.

Program Support Division (PSD)

The Western Region Program Support Division (PSD) provides an avenue for field offices to carry out the 博体育 Strategic Plan objectives. PSD supports the efforts of field offices and other divisions to provide environmental decision support by:

Providing information, structure, prioritization, and guidance to enable WR offices to meet stakeholder requirements

Removing barriers and impediments to progress

Fostering new services and innovation to move the agency forward

Taking a leadership role in workgroups to ensure field offices are provided with the highest level of support and responsiveness

Evaluating field performance in meeting the 博体育 Strategic Plan objectives

Ensuring field needs are met through appropriate training and tools

Anticipating future direction and preparing the field for upcoming changes
