* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Crop and range lands... oil fields... and
rural roads are affected. Some low-lying areas near the river are
isolated by high water in side channels. Areas along the river
near Davidson Oklahoma begin to flood several hours before the
crest approaches the Burkburnett area. The flood crest reaches the
area along the river near Taylor Oklahoma several hours later.
Cattle and other property should be relocated to places which are
2 feet higher than nearby river banks to avoid being stranded.

fields... upstream in western Love County in Oklahoma... and Cooke
County in Texas... experience overflows several hours before the
crest reaches the Interstate Highway I-35 crossing north of
Gainesville. Sandpit operations area affected. Livestock and other
property should be removed to places which are at least 11 feet
higher than nearby river banks to avoid being stranded.

- At 9:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 35.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Forecast...The Red River is expected to rise to a crest of
36.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage

After quiet weather Sunday and Monday, an active weather pattern
returns for eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas by Tuesday as
a low pressure system slowly moves over the Plains. Widespread
heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected through the day on
Tuesday. Thunderstorm chances continue areawide through the rest
of the week before the low pressure system can move off to the
east. Widespread, organized severe weather is not expected at this
time. However, additional heavy rainfall could lead to increasing
flooding concerns.
