* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Flood waters affect mostly bottomland
along the river...including low lying farm and pasturelands.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 11.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.0
feet early tomorrow afternoon.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Kentucky, including the following
counties, Anderson, Franklin, Nelson, Shelby and Spencer.
* WHEN...Until 330 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1217 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Frankfort, Bloomfield, Fairfield, Junte, Harrisonville, Mount
Eden, Wayside, Waddy, Avenstoke and Graefenburg.

At 259 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Bluefield, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

At 127 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles east of Petersburg to near Ardmore to
near Moulton. Movement was east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Cartwright, French Mill, Trinity, Valhermoso Springs, Speake,
Hurdlow, Maxwell, Basham, Harvest, and Smithland.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
If on or near Wheeler Lake on the Tennessee River, get out of the
water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can
strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to
safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
