...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON MDT TODAY THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall over and
  immediately downstream of burn scars is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
  area, South Central Mountains.

* WHEN...From noon MDT today through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff from area burn scars may result in
  flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and
  flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their
  banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Showers and storms are forecast to develop over the
    Sacramento Mountains this afternoon and move slowly northward
    into the evening hours. While the flash flood threat for
    locations away from burn scars is very low today, there is a
    moderate threat for flash flooding on and downstream of areas
    burn scars. This includes Ruidoso. Rainfall amounts will
    generally range from 0.25" to 1.00" on Saturday.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Thunderstorm chances return Sunday afternoon near the Texas and New
Mexico border ahead of widespread chances from Monday through Tuesday
morning. Some severe storms are possible Monday afternoon followed
by a risk for widespread heavy rain and flooding Monday night. Daily
chances for thunderstorms continue through Friday, although the risk
for additional severe weather appears low.

Spotter activation will not be needed.
