Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall, with a few thunderstorms being severe, are expected over portions of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic States through Monday. Across the Rockies and Intermountain West, a storm system will bring showers, thunderstorms and high elevation snow.

Widespread rains expected Tuesday into Wednesday with forecast rainfall amounts generally 1 to 2 inches. The heavies rains may create new flooding concerns and prolong current flooding. Monitor forecasts for updated rainfall amounts.
A marginal risk of severe storms will return on Tuesday primarily near the Red River and points further south.
The chances for additional heavy rainfall amounts return for mid to late week. Any additional heavy rains may raise flooding concerns.
