  • There was scattered damage with these winds in the local area, namely in the form of branches or trees downed and powerlines impacted. There were tens of thousands of power outages reported across the region late Wednesday night, December 15.
  • Temperatures on Wednesday into Wednesday night were anomalously warm into the 60s, breaking record highs at Chicago and Rockford, and even tying the all time December high in Rockford of 69°.
