Easter Sunday will start dry, but clouds will be increasing during the morning. An upper trough will pass to the north, but a trailing cool front will pass through for the afternoon and evening that will bring a chance of light rain showers and a few thunderstorms across the northern third of the State while central Nevada looks to remain dry under partly to mostly cloudy skies all with breezy W to NW winds of 10 MPH to 25 MPH with gust up to 35 MPH possible.
Easter Sunday will be warmer despite the chances of showers and a few thunderstorms. Highs Sunday will range from the middle 60s to middle 70s, with lows dropping into the upper 20s to upper 30s by Monday morning.
The southern extent of a trough of low pressure will clip Northern Nevada Sunday afternoon and Sunday night, resulting in a chance of light precipitation. Snow levels will remain above 7,000 feet. Light precipitation chances will be highest Sunday evening.
